Our Evanston bakery has stood as a neighborhood landmark since 1937. Newly renovated in 2023, our modern yet traditional store is a bright, welcoming, and ready to greet you with a smiling face and delicious treat.
In addition to our beautiful cakes, cupcakes, cake slices, seasonal creations, breads, and more, we also have a vareity of delicious breakfast creations including Donuts, Coffee Cakes, Muffins & Scones.
Donuts, Coffee Cakes, Muffins & Scones
Tag’s Bakery has been a favorite Saturday morning family outing for donuts and coffee cakes. We offer a selection of cake donuts and yeast raised donuts, in addition to everyone’s seasonal favorite, the cider donut.
Our sweet rolls and coffee cakes, which are made from a Danish dough, contain a small amount of buttercream mixed inside! They are filled or topped with fruit, nuts, cheese, and streusel. They are then iced in a white glaze.
Do not forget our selection of muffins including morning glory, Philly fluff, double chocolate, blueberry, cranberry, streusel, cinnamon crumb, and lemon poppy. In the fall, we add our popular pumpkin muffin to the mix.
The harvest scone, cinnamon and chocolate chip, and seasonal blueberry and golden raisin, along with plain or filled croissants have also become a popular breakfast goody.
Some of our breakfast items can be made in a smaller version which are perfect for a brunch or luncheon.
